Role Purpose

We are seeking a proactive, hands-on Duty Manager to take ownership of real-time operational management and coordination for our active flying programme. Supporting a growing fleet, you will serve as the operational lead during your duty period—coordinating Flight Operations, Crew Control, Maintenance Control, Ground Operations, and third-party providers to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Control: Maintain continuous oversight of active/planned flights; coordinate decisions on delays, diversions, cancellations, aircraft substitutions, and shift handovers.

Flight Following & Flight Watch: Monitor all flights from departure to arrival, tracking position, ETA, fuel status, weather, NOTAMs, and airport restrictions.

Crew Control: Ensure crew availability and strict compliance with EASA Flight Time Limitations (FTL) and rest requirements; manage short-notice disruption, positioning, and accommodation.

Aircraft & Maintenance Coordination: Track aircraft technical status with Maintenance Control / CAMO, coordinate AOG responses, and ensure technical info reaches flight crews.

Ground & Airport Operations: Coordinate with handling agents, FBOs, fuel providers, and airports; manage permits, slots, and turnaround performance.

Disruption Management: Lead the operational response to technical failures, weather, crew unavailability, ATC restrictions, and diversions.

OCC Shift Management: Act as shift lead to build an accurate operational picture, direct workload, lead the OCC team, and complete structured shift handovers.

Regulatory & Compliance: Operate in strict alignment with EASA Air Operations requirements, MEL/CDL, safety procedures, and SMS hazard reporting.

Emergency & Abnormal Ops: Support/activate the Emergency Response Plan (ERP), coordinate stakeholder communications, and maintain accurate event timelines.

Operational Authority

Delegated authority to assess risk, establish recovery options, coordinate technical inputs, and execute recovery strategies.

Experience & Qualifications

Essential:

5+ years in aviation operations (Airline, Commercial Air Transport, Business Aviation, or similar).

Proven track record in operational control, flight following, dispatch, or crew control.

Deep knowledge of EASA Air Operations regulations, FTL rules, and operational risk.

Demonstrated ability to manage live disruption and make sound decisions under pressure.

Willingness to work shift patterns, including weekends and public holidays.

Desirable:

Previous OCC / Operations Control experience.

Flight Dispatcher / Flight Operations Officer qualification

Hands-on experience with PC-12, PC-24, or similar turboprop/light jet aircraft.

Familiarity with scheduling, flight planning, crew management, or flight-following software.

Prior experience with EASA AOC operations and international handling networks.
